STAFF TEAM

Daniel and Karen Schneider

Daniel grew up in North Carolina and got involved as a student with Cru at UNC-Chapel Hill as a freshman. Karen grew up in Nebraska where she attended Wayne State College and found a community in Cru there as a freshman. They have been Cru staff for 13 years, 7 of which have been spent together here at CU and are parents to 3 adorable little girls: Sam, Avery and Josie! They've also served in East Asia with Cru where they lived for 2 years and have tons of great stories about living cross culturally and seeing God work in the lives of East Asian students they met. Daniel and Karen both love working with Cru and getting to know CU students and are excited for what 2020 has in store!
Daniel is passionate about college football and basketball (RIPIP this year:(...), the Denver Nuggets, Twitter feuds, smoking bbq on his grill (NC style only), buffalo wings (boneless wings are an abomination) and the greatest restaurant in the history of the world: Taco Bell. Karen loves reading everything from Jane Austen to Sci-Fi and is the outdoors lover in the family. She loves spending summers in Juneau, Alaska through Cru Summer Missions with students and can show you how to catch a 12 pound salmon in under a minute there.

Ricky and Dana Magoncia
Ricky will be serving with Cru for his 5th year this year! He is from Chicago (basically Wisconsin) and went to the University of Missouri graduating with a degree in Psychology in 5 1/2 years (taking a victory lap and a half). He is excited to help students understand the Gospel deeply and help them let it change their lives from the inside out.
He loves sports and is down to play all the time, specifically baseball, and is a huge Chicago Cubs fan and even plays in an amateur baseball league when he can't get enough watching games on TV. He also eloped in March marrying Dana, who is also on staff with Cru, but in the regional office.

Jared McKinney

Jared grew up in a small town of western Kansas. Once upon a time, he aspired to be a meteorologist and attended the University of Missouri. However, on a summer mission with Cru to Athens, Greece, he felt God put a desire on his heart to come alongside students and point them towards God's compassionate heart for them! This will now be his 3rd year as a staff member with the Boulder Cru team.
Jared has always been an avid Buffs fan and loves playing most any sport that involves a ball...soccer being the latest! He loves chill conversations and playing games like Settlers of Catan!
